Rugby World Cup 2003 Sweepstake in aid of Cancer Research UK(Registered charity number 1089464)

Rules

This sweepstake is organised by Haslemere Local Committee, Cancer Research UK. The entry fee is Ł5. Half of the money collected will go to Cancer Research, and the other half will be divided between the winners. If you enter by post, please make your cheque payable to Cancer Research UK and send it with your form to HLC Sweep-stake, PO Box 37, Hindhead, Surrey GU26 6YP. Otherwise you can fill your form on the PC, and e-mail to rwc@eassess.org.uk, or use the web form on the site http://www.eassess.org.uk/rwc.htm . In either of these cases, please post your cheque as above.

How to enter

Use your skill and knowledge of the game of Rugby Union to forecast the winners of the 48 matches, the semi finalists, the finalists, and the score in the final. Points will be awarded as follows:

1 point will be given for each correct result forecast in the 48 matches
4 points for each semi-finalist correctly identified
8 points for each finalist correctly identified
Up to 10 points for each team’s score in the final (only for correctly identified teams); 10 points for the exact score, and one point deducted for each forecast point higher or lower than the correct score

Prizes

The highest scoring entry will be the winner. Second and third prizes will also be awarded. In the case that there is a tie for any prize, it will be combined with the next lower available prize(s) and divided equally between the tying competitors. The winner will receive 35% of the pot, the runner-up 10% and the third place 5%. The decision of the organisers will be final.

During the Rugby World Cup, positions and results in this competiton will be displayed on the web page http://www.eassess.org.uk/rwc.htm which has been donated for the purposes of this competition. If you include a nickname on your entry, you will be able to see your score in a league table on the web page.. Winners will be notified by post. If you want your own copy of the results, please send a stamped self-addressed envelope to HLC Sweepstake, PO Box 37, Hindhead, Surrey GU26 6YP (or e-mail).
